The public was invited to celebrate the outdoors this season by enjoying the Annual Yule Log Event at the Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center on Sunday, December 10.
The story of the Yule Log and the Winter Solstice was shared, followed by a search for the hidden Yule Log. Guests then enjoy this informal day at the outdoor campfire or by make holiday crafts for the season.
Peter Dubacher from Berkshire Bird Paradise stopped by the campfire with a special feathered friend to share his experiences with rehabilitating and caring for his many birds.
People of all ages turned out for this free program. Hot chocolate and light snacks were provided.
