Betty J. Kipp

Hoosick Falls

Betty J. Kipp, 89, passed away on Thursday January 4, 2018 at the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Kipp who died in 1997.

Betty was born on March 28, 1928, in Hoosick Falls, daughter of the late Harry E. and Alice L. (Webster) Cipperly. She graduated from the Walter A. Wood High School. Betty was a homemaker and was always helping on the farm throughout her life. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, the Hoosick Grange and enjoyed crafting and crocheting.

She is survived by her children daughters Jane Bromirski (Mark), Jill Briggs (John), and son David Kipp (Roxane) all of Eagle Bridge, grandchildren Aubrie Graves, Melissa Cleary, Luke and Lacey LaCroix and Shelby Kipp, also five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by six sisters Blanch Cipperly, Helen Cloke, Ethel Sherin, Doris Kipp, Vera Griswold and Eleanor Lohnes, and seven brothers George, Waldo, William, Dean, Frank, Robert and Paul Cipperly.

Funeral services will be Sunday, January 14 at 3 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 pm until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
