Bernard J. Guerard

Bernard J. Guerard, 72, passed away on Wednesday February 14, 2018 at the Albany Medical Center. He resided on Route 67 in Eagle Bridge with his wife Arleane (Trombley) Guerard.

Bernard was born on December 12, 1945 in Bennington, VT, son of the late Arthur and Harriet (Hall) Guerard. He served in the United States Marine Corps form 1971-1978. He was employed at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington, Vermont as a cook.

Bernard was a member of the D.A.V. Chapter 4 of Bennington, Vermont and the American Legion Post # 634 in Cambridge, NY. He was a volunteer for the D.A.V. and was always lending a helping hand to his fellow veterans. Bernard enjoyed fishing, hiking and picnics.

Survivors other than his wife include his children. He was predeceased by a sister and brother.

Funeral services will be Friday February 23, at 11 am, from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, New York. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 am until the start of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the D.A.V. Chapter 4 of Bennington through the funeral home.
