Three Berlin CS Students Named Artist Of The Month

February 16, 2018 By eastwickpress

Savanna Garcia is Artist of the Month for November. She is a 10th grade art student who spends hours in the studio, above and beyond her class time. She is constantly working hard to improve her sculpture and photography skills. She has ambitious goals for every sculpture she creates, paying close attention to detail and is a skilled ceramicist.

Bridget Hermann was named Artist of the Month for December. This 9th grade student is a highly skilled artist, but doesn’t stop there. She pushes herself to be creative or challenges herself, such as coming up with a new way to organize her compositions or choosing a more advanced image to reference.

Isaiah Christensen was named Artist of the Month for January. The Senior was chosen not only for his great work in various art courses, but also for being the designer of the Petersburgh Library Logo. Isaiah worked back and forth with the library staff to create exactly what they wanted, something modern that included elements from the original town seal and gave off a library feel. The design has been approved by both the library and the town boards.

Congratulations Savanna, Bridget and Isaiah.
