2200 Plus Eastwick Area Homes and Businesses will Gain Access to High-Speed Broadband

Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that $11 million dollars has been earmarked to help establish high-speed internet to a number of areas that are lacking the service. The funds are part of a three tier program that was launched back in 2015. In the Eastwick area the breakdown is as follows:

These funds do not actually go to the towns, but to the Internet service providers to help defray the cost of establishing the service. The Eastwick Press will have more on this story in next week’s edition.
