A fire Sunday evening March 4, did serious damage to the center portion of the home located on County Route 59 in southern Washington County, about 3/4 of a mile west of the Buskirk Bridge.
The fire appeared to be in the second floor and attic area. Firefighters had difficulty getting to the blaze in the attic but once they did the fire was quickly extinguished.
A woman who reportedly re-entered the home was treated for smoke inhalation.
Buskirk, Johnsonville, Easton and Cambridge fire departments, along with the State Police and Washington County Sheriff’s Department, responded to the scene.
