Allyn Gardner

Old Forge, NY and Punta Gorda, FL

Allyn Gardner, 80, of Old Forge, NY and Punta Gorda, FL. passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica, NY.

He was born on October 18, 1937 in Berlin, NY, the son of Clayton and Nellie Gardner.

Allyn graduated from Berlin Central School and MVCC with a degree in Interior Design. He owned and operated ARG Acorn Interior’s in the Utica area and Punta Gorda, FL, until his retirement. He was a very involved member of the Church of the Good Shepard and their affiliate school in Punta Gorda.

Surviving are his sister-in-laws Catherine Gardner, Kinderhook, NY and Mary Gardner of Texas and cousin Helen Cox of California, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Marion (Alden) Goodermote, Grace (Joe) Karwell and Loma (Lynwood) Champine, brothers Howard (Alreda) Gardner, Ward Gardner and Francis Gardner. In keeping with Allyn’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.

Arrangements are with Dimbleby Funeral Homes, 128 Fern Avenue, Old Forge, NY.
