HFCS Retirees

May 31, 2018 By eastwickpress

Ceremonies were held at the May 15 School Board meeting to honor three retiring staff members.

School Superintendent Ken Facin said Pam Hatfield has been an extraordinary partner these 11 years that they’ve been working together. He called her “a trusted teammate,” and praised the vision she has brought to the District of multi-year budgeting, which has kept the District on an even keel through all of the budgetary ups and downs of the last decade.

Facin said Heather Brooks has done “an amazing job with the cafeteria,” and praised the farm to table initiatives she has brought to the cafeteria. Facin said she has been able to deliver food for the students that is both healthy and delicious. He concluded, “The transformation in the cafeteria has been nothing short of amazing.”

Also retiring this year is Custodian Paul Danforth, who was not present at this meeting. Facin thanked Danforth for all the hard work and care he put into taking care of the school facilities.
