Members of the Berlin Community joined with state and county officials to help celebrate the Grand Opening of the new Stewart’s Shop in Berlin last Friday morning, August 10. A greatly expanded facility from the one that opened more than 30 years ago just a block south on Route 22, the new store features three fuel islands, much more parking and expanded offerings on the inside.

The 337-store chain, with locations across New York and Southwestern Vermont, celebrated with 10 cents off a gallon of gas as well as free coffee. They also presented a $1,000 check to Helping Hands Elementary as well as a new American Flag to fly outside the shop, raised by Taconic Valley American Legion Commander Len Clapp.
