Rock The Block Turns Into Rock The Rink

August 16, 2018 By eastwickpress

By Steve Bradley

Due to a forecast of heavy rain later in the day, Rock The Block was moved from the Wood Park / Main Street area to the skating rink, becoming Rock The Rink.

It was still a great success, as attendees enjoyed dishes of all types, along with hot dogs, a chicken dinner and desserts. People ate their meal, then sat and visited with friends and neighbors.

Krista Brundige, left, and Molly Duell of Hoosick Falls choose what they want to eat, (mostly cake) while going through the food line at the Town of Hoosick ice rink.

Later in the evening the Hoosick Falls Community Band, which was set up in the north end of the rink, provided musical entertainment with its weekly band concert. If you have never attended a Rock The Block, do yourself a favor. Grab some friends or neighbors, maybe make a dish to contribute (not required) and come out to enjoy a pleasant evening.
