Boys Soccer

HF 0 at Cambridge 1

Monday, 9/17. Alex Hommel scored with an assist from Orion Baker-Porazinski to give Cambridge a 1-0 first half lead that would hold up for the remainder of the game. Panther Cody Hodges had 4 saves while Parker Robinson had five for the Indians. 

Berlin 4 at H. Valley 0

Monday, 9/17. Addison Colon scored first on a penalty kick to give Berlin the early lead. Hoosic Valley scored late in the half to tie the game. Several nice saves by Gabe Colon kept Valley out of the net early in the second half before Cody Hunt scored to break the tie. Kasey Billert and Hunt scored later in the half. Goalkeepers Malik Ploufe (17 in first half) and Gabe Colon (10 in second half) combined for 27 saves for Berlin.

Tamarac 2 at Stillwater 3

Monday, 9/17. Max Ali and Dylan Briccetti each scored a goal but it wouldn’t be enough as Stillwater’s Scott Davis had a hat trick (3 goals). Alex Bassey had an assist for the Bengals. Tamarac’s Tyler Nemjo had 20 saves while Stillwater’s Tim Bachal had 14. 

Tamarac 2 at Mechanicville 3

Friday, 9/13. Max Ali and Alex Bassey scored but it wasn’t enough as the Bengals fell. Ali and Rocco DiCarlo each had one assist, while Tyler Nemjo was kept hopping with 25 saves, while Mechanicville’s Zach White had 11.

Berlin 1 at Cambridge 0

Wednesday, 9/12. Players Dan Hunt, Ryan Burdick, CJ Bortnick and Austin Harvender all contributed to Berlin’s excellent team defense to hold Cambridge scoreless.

Cody Hunt scored the Berlin goal while Josh Zlotnick saved a sure Cambridge goal from being scored when he kicked the ball out of an empty net. Malik Plouffe had 17 saves in goal giving him his first varsity shutout.

Berlin Fall Fest

The original date for the boys varsity soccer game scheduled for Friday,  9/21 vs. Tamarac has been changed to Saturday, 9/22, during Fall Fest. The boys will be playing at noon.
