The Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad recently awarded an honorary membership to Kimme German, Manager of the Cumberland Farms store in the village. Normally the award is given out at the Squad’s annual awards banquet, but since Kimme was injured at the time and not able to attend, the award was presented to her in the store by Squad Vice President Deb Lohnes.
The award is presented to people the squad feels go above and beyond in support of their organization. In times of local crisis, such as major fires, Kimme has provided food and drink to emergency responders. Since she has done this on repeated occasions, the squad conferred on Kimme the honorary membership.
