Panthers Roar Out To 12 – 0

Panther field hockey head coach Denise Campbell has her team off to another great season with an 12-0 record. The Panthers have rolled through their opponents in a most dominating fashion. With senior Lillian Hickey leading the charge, Hoosick Falls keeps up the winning tradition that Campbell has instilled in her players over the years.

Greenwich 0 at HF 3

Monday, 10/8 Greenwich, a Panther arch rival for years, but currently struggling with an 0-10 record, visited the Panther Den for a rare late morning contest. The Witches held their own in the first half, holding the Panthers to one Lillian Hickey (Dezah Weierbach assist) goal.

But the Ladies had the Witches right where they wanted them. Hoosick Falls exploded for seven second half scores to grab the win.

In addition to her first half goal, Hickey scored two unassisted goals in the first ten minutes of the second half. Joining Hickey in the second half scoring column was Emma McCart with two goals, along with Abby Decker and Katie Weeden, who each scored one goal. Hickey and Madison Sprague each had one assist also.

Zoe Gress could have taken a nap during the game, she had no saves. On the other end of the field, Greenwich’s Kylee Masse spent the game fending off a constant barrage with 15 saves.

HF 3 – Schuylerville 0

Saturday, 10/6. Although it  is a non-league foe, Schuylerville always gives  the Panthers a tough time. But not on this day. Madelyn Kasulinous got the Panthers off to a good start when she scored with less than five minutes gone. Eight minutes later she struck again, giving the Ladies a two point advantage at the half. Both goals were assisted by Lillian Hickey.

Second half action saw Catherine Kennedy, assisted by Dezah Weierbach, score with 13 minutes left in the game. Zoe Gress had two saves while Schuylerville’s Kati Claps had 11.

HF 6 at North Warren 1

Friday, 10/5. In an unusual occurrence, the Panthers didn’t score in the first half, and found themselves down one goal at the end of that half. Whatever was said at the halftime break apparently woke up the Ladies because they came out and held NW scoreless while scoring six goals of their own.

The barrage started just over three minutes in when Emma McCart, with an Emily Schnoop assist, scored. Four minutes later, McCart scored again, this time on an assist from Gracie Lohnes.

Two minutes later, Madelyn Kasulinous put the Ladies up by two  at 3-1 when Lillian Hickey assisted her. Hickey got the next goal with an assist from Kasulinous. Dezah Weierbach scored unassisted with two minutes to go, and Hickey got an unassisted goal with one second left in the game.

Zoe Gress had three saves for the Panthers while North Warren’s Jadyn Urtz had nine.
