C-S Crushes Corinth, 62-6

It was a beautiful day for a football game Saturday when Cambridge-Salem got out to a 35-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and a 48-0 halftime lead and cruised from there to take its record to 5-0.

The Indians did anything they wanted, whenever they wanted to do it. Corinth, on the other hand, couldn’t get anything going on offense and couldn’t stop the Indians’ potent offense.

Corinth rushed for 51 yards and passed for 35 more.

Corinth was in trouble early when Tommy English ran the kickoff back for a touchdown. From there things continued downhill for Corinth and uphill for the Indians.

Corinth scored late in the fourth quarter on a 27 yard run to put a score on the board.

The Indians Tyler Linendoll rushed three times for 36 yards, Clifford Lewis ran twice for 30 yards, English twice for 18 yards, Doug Pennington had two carries for 15 yards, Kaedin Ogilvie ran once for 14 yards, Aden Terry had 13 yards on two carries and Joe Cary had one carry for five yards. Quarterback Calvin Schneider threw three passes for 29 yards and Eli Truhart completed one pass for 16 yards, a touchdown.

This week the Indians will make the trip up to Lake George to face the Lake George / Hadley Luzerne War Eagles. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 pm.
