Saturday, 10/20. Panther Skye Haynes scored two first half goal to lead #11 seed Hoosick Falls to a big upset win over #6 Canajoharie. Canajoharie’s Taya Yacobucci scored their lone goal in the first half. Maddy Yeung had 11 saves for the Panthers, Canajoharie’s Hunter Pitcher had eight.
#10 Greenwich 0 at Cambridge 1 (C)
Saturday, 10/20. Despite #7 Greenwich constantly being in #10 Cambridge’s’ territory, the Indians held the Witches scoreless. After scoring their lone goal on a first half penalty kick, the Indians held on to advance to the next round.
#6 Tamarac 0 at #3 Voorheesville 3 (B)
Saturday, 10/20. Voorheesville scored one first half goal then added two more in the second half while holding the Bengals scoreless to grab the win. K C Champagne had nine saves for Tamarac while Voorheesville’s Leah Weber had five.
#11 Cohoes 1 at Tamarac 4 (B)
Thursday, 10/18. Tamarac scored twice in the first half and twice more in the second to get the win. Tamarac’s Isabella Biscegli scored twice, while Jenna Hurt and Shannon Ryan each scored once.
