The boys finished fourth overall in Section 2, Class D competition led by Matt Kluck who finished 12th overall and  set another personal record time at 18:12. The boys also saw personal records from Jackson Flowers who finished 18th in 18:36, and Brandon Rifeburg who finished in 20:30. Lake George finished first.

The boys have nothing to be disappointed about this year as they look to return all 8 varsity runners next year and set themselves up to be a top 3 team in Class D.

The Berlin girls cross country team finished second in the Section 2,Class D, competition. Several runners had personal best times at the event. Photo supplied by Paul Raider.

The girls brought home another class D runner up title and scared winner Duanesburg, who was expected to win by more than 50 points.

The girls ran hard and determined, only losing by 15 points. Strong efforts from everyone got a lot of praise from schools and coaches throughout the section. Elsie Corbett led the way finishing 9th, Cayla Hungerford finished her high school career with an 11th place, and a new personal record at 20:46. Hailey Beckwith was right behind her, finishing 12th and setting a new personal record at 20:53, Brady Hills finished 18th with a personal record at 21:42.

Haley Chaykowski-Jewett finished her high school career with the best finish of the day, taking 5 runners in the last 200 meters to help the team claim class D runner up.
