Luke Hoag, a sixth-grader at Hoosick Falls Central School, has once again dedicated himself to a very special project, and he needs your help! Luke is asking for you to write Letters to Santa to help raise money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Luke was granted a wish from Make-a-Wish at three years old, and he now collects letters so he can ensure other children get their wishes. For each letter that Luke delivers to Macy’s on December 7, “Believe Day,” Macy’s will donate two dollars to Make-A-Wish. Last year he collected over 65,000 letters and not only are we aiming high, once again, but also looking for letters from all 50 states. To date 30 states are represented.
In a campaign kick-off rally held at the beginning of November, Luke encouraged the crowd, “Let’s do this Hoosick Falls, I believe in you!”.
The school and local community has joined Luke in his efforts, with thousands of students, business owners, and community members writing and gathering letters to bring to Macy’s.
Letters are due by December 6, so Luke can deliver them to Macy’s the next day. There is no specific format or paper needed, just a simple “Dear Santa” letter. The letters can come from children and adults, and even pets. There is no limit on the number of letters you can write.
Once completed, you can mail your letters to: Hoosick Falls Central School, C/O Luke Hoag, P.O. Box 192, 21187 NY 22, Hoosick Falls, New York 12090.
