Nature’s Fall Silk
Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) pods are still opening and their seeds are still blowing in the wind this November. The wildflower’s silk, which is let loose when the pod opens, glistens in the Fall sun.
In the summer, Milkweed is the sole source of food for Monarch butterfly larvae.
