Snowfall Raises Some Early Week Havoc

November 30, 2018 By steve bradley

By Doug La Rocque

A rain snow mix on top of roads still frozen in some parts from a below zero morning earlier in the week caused many mishaps Sunday morning, November 24, all around Eastern Rensselaer County.  A heavy wet type of snow on Tuesday morning, November 26, made for a repeat of the scenario, this time delaying and then eventually closing all the area schools for the day.  Snowfall totals varied, from a few inches in the Brunswick area to over a foot in portions of Southeastern Vermont.

The higher the elevation, the more snow there was, typical for this part of the state.  Temperatures forecast to be in the mid to upper 40’s over the weekend, should bring some relief from the slightly early onset of winter.
