After responding to an accident just south of the Route 22 intersection with Center Road in White Creek, a NYS trooper was sitting in his vehicle processing paperwork when a southbound vehicle on Route 22 slammed into the rear of the trooper’s car. The trooper was not seriously injured but was taken to the hospital for observation. The name of the driver was not available.
The original incident was a sideswipe when a vehicle driven by Nicole E. Matala of Cambridge went out of her lane and into the other lane where a vehicle driven by Paul T. Harris, also of Cambrdge, was traveling.
Several NYS Police officers, Buskirk Fire Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
