Hardesty Sanitation Taken Over

December 6, 2018 By steve bradley

By Doug La Rocque

Many Hardesty and Sons Sanitation customers received a surprise this week, when the company failed to show for its regularly scheduled pick-ups.  In some cases, a County Waste truck collected the refuse, but in many other cases, no one came at all.  When people called Hardesty’s phone number, it immediately rolled over to County Waste, and Hardesty cannot be reached.

The Eastwick Press has placed many phone calls to County Waste, asking for a comment or an explanation, but none of these calls have been returned.  The only thing we were able to confirm is that County Waste has begun to pick up trash from Hardesty customers, and that they expect the collection schedule to remain the same for now.

Of course, in many instances that is already not happening. A customer service agent did tell us that if you were a Hardesty customer and your trash has not been picked up, you should call County Waste at 888-549-2783 and request a pick up ticket be issued.  As of press time, no other information has been forthcoming from either company.

The Eastwick Press will continue to seek answers from both companies.
