Marie A. Godfrey

Hoosick Falls – Marie A. Godfrey 84, passed away on Sunday December 16 at the Center for Nursing & Rehab in Hoosick Falls. She formerly resided at Woodbridge Senior Housing in Hoosick Falls.

Marie was born on August 14, 1934, in Hoosick Falls, daughter of the late Franklin and Florence (Nowak) Dorr. She was educated at St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls and worked at the Hoosick Falls Heath Center for many years. Marie retired to help care for her mother. She enjoyed working with flowers, her pen pals and reading.

Survivors include her daughter Donna Nash (Glenn Cipperly) of Petersburgh, NY, son William Godfrey of Saratoga, NY, grandchildren Lorie Postell (Joel), Arthur Nash Jr. and William Nash (Lindsay), great-grandchildren Alan Nash, Madelyn Nash, Jaiden and Lauren Postell. Marie was predeceased by a brother William Dorr and a son-in-law Arthur Nash Sr.

Funeral services were held Wednesday December 19 at 11:30 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Burial followed the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church through the funeral home.
