In the January 13, New York State Sportswriters Association poll, six of the top 20 teams in Class C, were located in Section 2.Hoosic Valley (#5, 10-3), Cambridge (#6, 6-1), Maple Hill (#8, 12-1), Warrensburg (#10, 13-0), Berne-Knox-Westerlo (#18, 10-1) and Lake George (#19, 9-2). Hoosic Valley and Cambridge are WASAREN League teams.

Friday, 1/18. Emily Erickson scored 25 points to lead the Tamarac Bengals to the win.

Friday, 1/18. Fifth ranked in NYS Hoosic Valley visited the sixth ranked Cambridge Indians last Friday evening. The Valley Indians scored first, a three-pointer that gave them the lead. That 30 second, three point lead would turn out to be the highlight of the night for them. After a Cambridge three tied it up at three all, the Valley never led again. By the end of the first half, Cambridge held a 40-16 lead and Hoosic Valley was rattled to its toes and never recovered. Cambridge sophomores Sophie Phillips scored 22 points and twin sister Lilly added 20. Alex Rifenburg scored 14 for Hoosic Valley.
