Stephentown Railroad Station
The Corkscrew Division of the Rutland Railroad ran through Stephentown on its way to Chatham. It was called the Corkscrew because of its many twist and turns all along the line.

Passenger Service on the line was discontinued in 1925, but it remained a freight line until 1952. Much more information about the Corkscrew Division is available from the Stephentown Historical Society.
