Hoosick Falls 3 at Spa Catholic 1

Monday, 1/14. The Hoosick Falls bowling team started the final week of the regular season with a 3-1 win over Saratoga Catholic.  Hoosick Falls finished with 3620 pins to Saratoga Catholic’s 3604 pins.  Junior Owynn Arnold 245-681 led the Panthers while Micaela Barbolt 245-705 led Saratoga.

Other top scores for Hoosick Falls included Brody Mullen 244-648, Evan Webster 208-611, Erin McCart 227-609, Meghan Backes 227-594, Colin Cipperly 201-586, Riley Hayes 233-582, Chris Snyder 196-564, James Hynd 197-557, Colin King 213-551, Ethan Yonconish 187-531, Kendra Marshall 196, Payton Merrills 194, Bradley Senecal 192, Ziena Hurlburt 189 and Ryan Maxon 180.Other top scores for Saratoga Catholic included Hayden Day 225-637, LJ Lafiura 245-623, Timmy Barrett 203-587, Zach Niles 244-570, Logan Johnson 223-526 and Brandon Karam 179.

The win improves Hoosick Fall’s point record to 58-2 this season. For the final two matches of the year they will travel to Hoosic Valley on Thursday. After that they will turn their attention to the Adirondack League Tournament in Fort Edward on January 30 and the Section 2 Tournament in Schenectady on February 11.

Corinth 0 at Hoosick Falls 4

Thursday, 1/10. After a snow day on Wednesday, the Hoosick Falls bowling team returned to action on Thursday with a 4-0 home victory over Corinth.  The Panther’s two seniors, Chris Snyder and team captain Meghan Backes, were honored after the match, as the team finished with a total of 3851 pins to Corinth’s 2778.  

Both Meghan 266-706 and Chris 225-631 bowled well on their “Senior Day” but it was junior Evan Webster 259-752 that led Hoosick Falls while Kaleb Lemelin 228-536 was the high bowler for Corinth.

Other top scores for Hoosick Falls included Brody Mullen 274-712, James Hynd 232-665, Owynn Arnold 243-621, Colin Cipperly 226-608, Ziena Hurlburt 226-591, Erin McCart 205-548 and Colin King 216-533.  Other top scores for Corinth included Brayden Thompson 187, Joey Miller 185 and Tyler Hall 184.

Hoosick Falls 4 at Stillwater 0

Tuesday, 1/8. The Hoosick Falls bowling team kicked off a busy week with a 4-0 win on the road.  Hoosick Falls finished the match with 3635 pins compared to Stillwater’s 3250.  Junior Colin Cipperly’s 267-718 led the Panthers while Ryan Golden 210-601 led Warriors.

Other top scores for Hoosick Falls included Evan Webster 237-653, Chris Snyder 222-597, Ziena Hurlburt 222-593, Colin King 210-579, Erin McCart 206-577, James Hynd 223-571, Meghan Backes 202-565, Brody Mullen 222-555, Payton Merrills 204-552, Ethan Yonconish 191, Ryan Maxon 190 and Owynn Arnold 188.  Other top scores for Stillwater included Kody Brundage 236-575, Connor Julian 225-572, Zach Golden 212-553, Tyler Hogan 224 and Kenny Orton 193.
