Since the Stewart’s Shops opened their new store on Route 22 last summer, the former location, one block south of the new store has been waiting for a new owner. That time has come, as Laura and Virginia Saunders recently purchased the building, and are in the process of converting it into the new office for the Taconic Mountains Insurance Agency, and a private apartment.
Laura says she hopes the renovations will be complete in about a month, giving her business a permanent home in the town.
