HFCS Bowlers Finish 17-0

Hoosic Valley 0 at Hoosick Falls 4

Thursday, 1/7. The Hoosick Falls bowling team finished its 2018-2019 regular season with a 4-0 win at Hoosic Valley on Thursday.  Hoosick Falls finished with a total of 3428 pins to Hoosic Valley’s 3099 pins.

Leigha Henkel 231-636  and Doug Wickham 217-550 led Hoosic Valley, while Meghan Backes 229-592 and Colin King 211-591 led the Panthers.

Other top scores for Hoosick Falls included Evan Webster 208-582, Owynn Arnold 214-569, Brody Mullen 213-568, Ryan Maxon 237-566, Payton Merrills 195-564, Bradley Senecal 208, Ziena Hurlburt 199, Erin McCart 196, Ethan Yonconish 193, Chris Snyder 192, Riley Hayes 185, James Hynd 184 and Colin Cipperly 182.

The win is Hoosick Falls’ 17 in the 17 match season. They finish the season with a point record of 66-2 in those matches, best in the Adirondack League.

On February 7, two Hoosick Falls bowlers, Erin McCart and Ziena Hurlburt, will compete in the Section 2 Girls Tournament as individuals, on option that is new for female bowlers on coed teams this year.

Hoosick Falls will also send a team of 8 bowlers to compete in the Section 2 Boys Class C/D Tournament on the 11th.
