Teddy Bears And Donations Top Meeting

Hoosick Rescue Squad members Roseann Miller and Bill Gaillard received a gift of teddy bears from the Life Skills class at Hoosick Falls Central School.  Students from the class who made the teddy bears include Cody Young, Chelsea Haynes, Jade Decker, Karissa Fisher, Sam Haynes, Deanna Ploof, Elizabeth Otruba, Jeremiah Bentley, William Morse, Sylvia Bump, Shae Haynes, Andrew Reynolds and Jenny Inigo.  Amy Sutton and Sharon Messersmith are the club’s instructors.

Roseann Miller and Bill Gaillard receive gift of teddy bears, that were turned over to the Hoosick Rescue Squad to give to young patients on the ride to a hospital.

These teddy bears are given to young patients transported by the Rescue Squad.  These stuffed animals help ease their discomfort, and are very much appreciated.

Other Meeting Notes

Lion’s officer Bridget Pierce presented a check for $500 to the HACA Food Pantry.  Lion’s members deliver food on a monthly basis to folks unable to come to the pantry.

Lion Peter Church received his chevron representing 20 years of membership in the club. New members Joyce Brewer and Robert Frazier were sworn in and Lion’s dignitaries visited the February 7 meeting to thank the local Lions for their annual support of Camp Abilities.
