Demi DeGennaro and Jackson Flowers were a fun and talented duo as the masters of  ceremonies in front of a big crowd of families and students at the Berlin High School Spring Pops concert, on Thursday, February 28. The evening featured the Senior High Chorus, Senior High Band and 13 soloist performing pop songs, show tunes and a few classics. The night’s soloist program was student-designed with Berlin Middle-High School choral director Leslie Eliashuk and instrumental director Jessica Gould as advisors.

The group of high school solo performers entertained the audience with their renditions of favorite songs, along with an original song and performance by Christina Reger.

The Senior High Band, with the addition of a group of hard-working seventh graders to fill them out, performed two pieces, one of which was the stirring “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor.

The Senior High Chorus, led by Ms. Eliashuk and accompanied by pianist Jennifer Lopez, performed three songs with a performance of “Africa” by Toto, featuring the Berlin Percussion Ensemble to conclude the evening.
