The onset of the snowfall on Sunday, March 3 may have played a role in a vehicle leaving the eastbound lane of Route 2, and launching itself through the upper yard at Gundrum Lumber, ending up on top of the ledges. Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Deputies say two people received minor injuries and were attended to by the Grafton Rescue Squad.

The female driver says she swerved to avoid a deer. No charges were filed. The Grafton Fire Department assisted with the rescue and traffic control.
