Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin was joined by Department of Social Services (DSS) Commissioner Theresa Beaudoin last Friday, April19, in the unveiling of a donation closet that will provide clothing for Rensselaer County youth that are in foster care. The county officials were joined in the ceremony by the St. Henry’s Church Faith Formation Class, who presented DSS with clothing for the Foster Care Closet. The purpose of the closet and the donations is to fill the immediate needs of children who come into foster care.

The students also participated in the planting of an indoor pinwheel garden in commemoration of National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
