Naomi Bartus

San Diego, California – Naomi Bartus, a former area resident, passed from this life unexpectedly on January 21, 2019, at her home in San Diego, at the age of 63.

Born July 12, 1955, Naomi was the daughter of the late Frank W. and Josephine (Goungo) Bartus and sister of Thea Bratton of Tennessee and Ronald Bartus of Petersburgh. She is also surviced by two nieces, Michelle (Mark) Daigle of Clifton Park, NY and Melissa (James) Signorelli of Wynantskill, NY and their children.

Miss Bartus was a graduate of UCSD and UC Irvine with a masters degree in film/fine arts.  Miss Bartus retired several years ago from the San Diego District Attorney’s Office to pursue her true passion in music and art.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 13 at 1:30 pm in the Meadowlawn Cemetery, Hewitt Road, Petersburgh, NY. A gathering for firends and family will follow at the Veterans Memorial Hall on Main Street in Petersburgh.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home in Petersburgh.
