Mary L. Hagadorn

Hoosick Falls, NY – Mary L. Hagadorn, 85, passed away on May 6, 2019 at the Centers for Living & Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT. 

Mary was born on January 7, 1934 in Valley Falls, NY, daughter of the late George and Phyllis (Cantelo) Ely. Mary worked as a cook until retiring. If you are local to the Hoosick Falls area, you have probably eaten food prepared by her. She started cooking at the Vermonter at an early age and worked locally at several places including, Knotty Pine, Greens Diner, Wayside Restaurant, Falls Diner and retired from the Man of Kent. Mary loved watching horse racing and NASCAR racing, cheering for Jeff Gordon. 

Survivors include her son George Hagadorn of Hoosick Falls, grandson Jason Hagadorn (Vicky) and granddaughter Ashley, all of Cambridge, NY. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday May 10 at 11 am at the Hoosick Rural Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen & Molly McGovern Memorial Fund. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY.
