Hoosick Falls 5th Graders Get A Lesson In Government
92 members of the Hoosick Falls Central School District 5th grade, along with their teachers and chaperones, paid a visit the New York State Senate on Wednesday, May 29. During the visit, the students met with 43rd District Senator Daphne Jordan, who represents Hoosick Falls and the surrounding area. The Senator discussed her job and her role in the Senate, and answered student questions.

They also received a guided tour of the capitol building, which included the Flag Room, the Assembly Visitor’s Gallery, the “Million Dollar Staircase,” the Senate’s Visitors Gallery and the Senate Floor.
