Career Day at WBH Elementary

June 22, 2019 By steve bradley

Submitted by Kristin LaPlante

Elementary students learned about different occupations during Career Day at Walter B. Howard Elementary School on Thursday, June 6. This was the second year that the event has been held, and a huge success with more than twenty professionals sitting down with classes.

Students at WBH learn about different careers as they become old enough to start pondering their future. Photo provided.

During the day, students had the opportunity to learn about exciting careers from people who work in those fields.

Invited professionals included an attorney, doctor, cosmetologist, farmer, architect, EMT, police officer and pediatric nurse to name a few.

We would like to thank our teachers who coordinated the day and the following presenters: Tim Schroder, Anthony Lebrecht, Cale Kneer, Chris Templin, Schuyler Gail, Dr. Amanda Hansberger, Elizabeth Brutsch, Tim Siciliano, Tara Cruden, James Arvidson, Eric Johnson, Tistrya Houghtling, John Kalisz, Crystal Kirkpatrick, Dennis Fougere, Carey Moulton, Melissa Stickles, Carlo deOliveira, Ethan Race, Patrick McMahon and Debbie Gallucci.
