Hoosick Crash Injures Two

A Hoosick Falls woman and her grandson were critically injured Sunday afternoon, May 25, when they were struck by a car while attempting to cross NY Route 7 near the intersecion with Hill Road.  New York State Police say both victums were air lifted to the Albany Medical Center.  According to troopers, their injuries, while quite serious, are no longer considered to be life threatening. The State Police report, says the boy is 11 years old and from Bennington, VT.

 

First responders assist the victims of Sunday afternoon’s accident in Hoosick. The Hoosick Falls Rescue Squad received ALS assistance from the Cambridge and Bennington Rescue Squads, while the Hoosick Fire Department controled the traffic flow and kept the scene safe. The Hoosick Falls Fire Department was involved as well. New Yrok State Police are handling the investigation.

Neither the names of the victums nor that of the driver of the westbound vehicle have yet been released.  The cause of the mishap remains under investagation.
