Green-Yellow-Red
Lousewort or Wood Betony (Pedicularis canadensis) grows on the forest edge and is blooming now in upper Petersburgh. When the wildflower comes up, it is purplish, then turns green, and blooms this pinwheel of red and yellow or solid yellow petals.
It is a beautiful wildflower that gathers in groups but can be hidden by grass.
