Colleen Teal has verbally informed the New Lebanon Town Board and Town Clerk that she is leaving office, basically four months before the end of her second term. Her exact departure date will be contained in her forthcoming letter.
The Town Board has scheduled a special meeting for Monday, July 29 to discuss their options. They will either do nothing and let the Deputy Supervisor assume her responsibilities, albeit without voting power, or appoint an interim supervisor, who would have all the powers of an elected official.
