Indian Pipe (Monotropa unifolora) is the white flower above minus the green companion here. It is a native wildflower that feeds off the photosynthesis of trees passed through fungi.
The plant usually grows six to eight inches and has been used as a medicinal herb. This wildflower was found last week in the rich woods of Petersburgh.
