Search For Missing Hoosick Man Ends Well
By Doug La Rocque
Following an early morning accident, a search for a 41-year old Hoosick Falls man ended when Rensselaer County Undersheriff Ed Bly located him walking near Johnson Hill Road.
According to the Undersheriff, the man returned home after the accident, became distraught and left the residence. Fearing he might harm himself, the family called in deputies, who looked for four to five hours before locating him. The county’s 911 center continually pinged his cell phone, but found the signal to be stationary. They feel he either lost it or threw it away.
According to the Undersheriff, the man was taken to Troy’s Samaritan Hospital for treatment and observation. The Hoosick Falls Police Department assisted the Sheriff’s Department in the search.
