New Lebanon Board Picks An Interim Supervisor

By Thaddeus Flint

New Lebanon’s previous Town Supervisor from two administrations back, Margaret Robertson, is back on the job once again as Interim Town Supervisor. After a 3 to 1 vote at a contentious and standing room only Board Meeting Friday afternoon, August 9, Robertson was chosen to replace the departing Supervisor, Colleen Teal.

The Interim Supervisor will fill out the remaining months of Teal’s last term until a new Supervisor is chosen in the upcoming November elections.  There, current Town Clerk Tistrya Houghtling will oppose Bud Godfroy. Ms. Teal had not planned to run for another term and has in fact, moved to Northern Virginia.
