Honoring Petersburgh’s Veterans

A new banner is hanging by the Veterans Memorial Wall in Petersburgh honoring all of Petersburgh’s Veterans. Henceforth, if desired by Veterans or their families, the Highway Department will mount the hardware and hang the veterans’ banners. They will be hung in the spring before Memorial Day and taken down shortly after Veterans Day.

Over the winter these can be stored by the veterans families or be hung in the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center. To arrange a flagpole hanging, contact the Highway Supervisor Ray Harrison at 518-658-3541. Banners for Veterans can be purchased through the Taconic Valley American Legion, by contacting Chris Lecce at 865-322-0551.
