Brigham Logue, son of Bernie Wiesen and Chris Logue of Johnsonville has been honored with the $1,000 4-H Teen Council Scholarship. He has been an active Rensselaer County 4-H member for 14-years showing horses, poultry, sheep, dogs and cattle as part of Wild Things, Stablemates, Teen Ambassadors and Teen Exchange Clubs. He has also stepped up into many leadership roles, as he served on the 4-H PDC as a Youth Representative, a member of the New York State Equine Advisory Committee, a focus assistant at Career Explorations, a teen evaluator at many Winter Fairs, a club leader, and has assisted at many countywide events and programs. In 2017 Brigham received the Lohnes Award, an award given to a 4-Her in Rensselaer County’s 4-H Horse Program who demonstrates what it means to be a good role model to others.

Alyssa Jacon, daughter of David and Sue Jacon of Poestenkill has been awarded a $500 4-H Teen Council Scholarship. She has been an active 4-H member with Rensselaer County for eight years; showing horses, cattle and taking on leadership roles in the Jogging Juniors 4-H Club, Farmers United, Teen Ambassadors and Teen Exchange. Alyssa is always involved at some level with our 4-H events. She has helped facilitate Make and Take workshops, taught at Pre-Teen Fun Day, evaluated at many Winter Fairs, helped with pre and post fair cleanup, been a manager in the Snack Bar and so much more.
Merrill Wrenn, daughter of Jessica Zwieg and Peter Wrenn of Poestenkill has been awarded a $500 4-H Teen Council Scholarship. She has been a Rensselaer County 4-H member for nine years as a member of the Green Earthlings, Rensselaer County Trail Blazers and Teen Ambassador 4-H Clubs. Merrill has participated in almost every aspect of 4-H, from animal science to public speaking, photography, leadership, wood sciences, to waste management and many more
