Grafton Library Hosts Blacksmithing Program
Grafton Community Library
On Saturday, October 5, the library will host an Introduction to Blacksmithing program, from 9 am to 2 pm. The class is for students with no prior experience. Students will learn the basics of traditional blacksmithing to produce functional and decorative works. Equipment, tools, and safety concerns will be covered, as well as an introduction to techniques, metallurgy, and iron history. Students will be able to complete a simple project to take home, such as functional hooks, a candleholder, or a creative piece. This workshop is from four to six hours long. Appropriate attire will be required and consists of cotton clothing, closed shoes, and no shorts. Long sleeves are recommended. All materials and safety equipment will be provided.
Class size is limited to 10 students, adults and teens (with permission).

Brunswick Community Library
The library is conducting an AARP Driver Safety program on Saturday, October 19 from 11 am to 5:30 pm. This is an open enrollment class, but participants must show a valid NYS Driver’s license and AARP if a member. The cost for the course is $20 for members, and $25 for non-members.
The class is limited to 16 so pre-registration is a requirement. Please contact the library at www.brunswicklibrary.org or 518-279-4023 to register.
The class starts promptly at 11 am, and no one will be admitted after 11:10 am.
