Free Town Library

We had so much fun with our first Smart Phone Photo Contest, which was one of our 125th Anniversary events, that we are going to do it again.   The theme of our second contest is Summer in Our Community.  This contest is open to all ages from the Berlin, Cherry Plain, Grafton, Petersburgh and Stephentown areas.  You can enter two photos that you feel represent the theme.   Three winners will be chosen with a top prize of $100, second prize $50 and third prize $25.  In addition, we want to see the best photos from Berlin’s 4th of July Parade.  You can submit one photo from the Parade and maybe you will be the lucky winner of a prize of $25!

Photos should have a title, name and age of photographer and contact phone number or email address. All photos should be sent in the highest possible resolution to:  berlinlibraryphotocontest@gmail.com by September 18.  Announcement of the winner will be on Saturday, September 28 around 1 pm.

Also, on September 28 The Library’s Annual Book and Bake Sale will be held from 10 am to 1 pm.  Gently used books will be for sale at greatly reduced prices, along with homemade baked goods. Time to stock up for winter reading.

And because we want to be really busy that day, we will have a BBQ with hot dogs and hamburgers from noon to 1 pm.  So come one and all to the Berlin Free Town Library to do some book shopping, purchase some homemade goodies, eat a hot dog and hear the winners announced.
