Corinth/Fort Edward 6 0 2 12     20

Hoosick Falls                 6 6 0 0        12

Friday, Sept. 6. Miscues cost Hoosick Falls last Friday. A bad snap here, a holding penalty there, throw in a two-point safety in-between them and the Panthers found themselves on the smaller number side of the scoreboard Friday evening.

It began with a bad snap on a punt that resulted in a blocked punt and a C-FE touchdown, giving C-FE the lead. The Panthers answered with a 55 yard Max Kipp run to tie the score. Hoosick Falls added a Liam McGarvin one yard dive in the second quarter to take a halftime lead of 12-6. The Panthers wouldn’t score again.

C-FE put themselves two points closer to  the 12 points Hoosick Falls had when they recorded a safety in the third quarter.

Late in the fourth quarter, C-FT scored on a 2 yard run to take the lead at 14-12. Max Kipp received the ensuing kickoff and started running, juking and dodging tackles while yellow flags were flying through the air in his wake. He ended up in the endzone, but it was called back with the penalty call(s) for holding.

C-FE scored again late in the game on a 20 yard run.
