Friday, Sept. 13.  Tamarac ran into a buzzsaw Friday evening when Stillwater came out and dominated the first half, outscoring the Bengals 33-0. Stillwater, arguably the best Section 2, Class C team, and having the best running back combination, small in stature, big in elusiveness, Mason Seymour (151 yards in this game) and Luc Lescault, who opened the scoring with an 81 yard touchdown run. Both are seniors.

Saturday, Sept.14. Liam McGarvin ran for two first quarter touchdowns to give Hoosick Falls a 15-0 first quarter lead and the Panthers never looked back while getting their first win of the season. Quarterback Max Kipp scored two touchdowns, passed for 100 yards and added 90 on the ground.

Saturday, September 14, Played at Salem High School. C-S’s Kaedin Ogilvie ran for five touchdowns to carry the Indians to a Saturday afternoon win over the Lake George/Hadley-Luzerne War Hawks. 

Friday, September 20. Hoosick Falls at Greenwich; C-S at Hoosic Valley; Tamarac – Bye; Chatham at LG/HL; Canjo/Fort Plain at Stillwater; Mechanicville at Fonda; Cairo-D-C at Coxsackie-Athens. All 7 pm.

Saturday, September 21. Taconic Hills at Voorsheesville; Granville at Cohoes.

Section 2 Class C Scores & Records

North: Cambridge-Salem (2-0); Hoosick Falls (1-1);  Greenwich (1-1) 34, – Granville 12 (1-1); 

Hoosic Valley (0-2) 12 – Mechanicville 35; 

Lake George-Hadley-Luzerne (0-2).

Central: Tamarac (0-2); Mechanicville (1-1), Fonda (2-0) 47 – Canajoharie-Fort Plain 32 (1-1), Stillwater (2-0).

South: Cairo-Durham-Catskill (0-2); Coxsackie-Athens (0-2) 14 – Watervliet 60 (1-0); Taconic Hills (1-0) Did not play; Voorheesville (1-1) 42 – Ichabod Crane 13. Rensselaer is not playing football this season, leaving a hole in its scheduled opponents’ schedules.
