Hoosick Democrats Endorse Town Wide Candidates
The Town of Hoosick Democratic Committee has chosen four people to run for office this November. Current Supervisor Mark Surdam is endorsed to seek his fourth two-year term in office. Previous to becoming Supervisor, Mr. Surdam spent ten-years as a town council member. In the Democratic Committee press release, Mr. Surdan says “I have enjoyed the (nearly) six years as Town Supervisor, working together with fellow board members in an effort to keep things running smoothly.

My goal has always been to maintain professionalism and conduct meetings in an orderly and respectful manner as we continue to deal with various important issues that impact our community in many ways. It has been an honor to work with Town Board members who are passionate and care deeply for our Community. They leave politics at home and we try to make the best decisions every month on the issues we face.”
Jackolyn Houghton is seeking her first term on the Town Council. She is currently a member of the Hoosick Falls Central School Board. Eric Sheffer is seeking his second term on the Town Council. Mr. Sheffer currently serves as the Deputy Town Supervisor as well.
Also seeking re-election is Town Justice Harold McClellan.
