Vandalism Spree Strikes Hoosick Falls
By Doug La Rocque
Many residents of the Village and the Town of Hoosick woke up Wednesday morning, September 4, to find their vehicles had been spray painted with graffiti. There was even a report of some hay bales being set on fire in the town.
Hoosick Falls Police Chief Bob Ashe says in all they are investigating 17 reports of vandalism, with an assist from the New York State Police.

He tells The Eastwick Press they are chasing down a number of leads at this time, and are still putting together all the damage reports. He hopes to have more to say on the incidents in the near future. No injuries were associated with the vehicle attacks or the minor fire.
Bennington Police report they too received some calls about vehicles being spray painted, and both agencies are working together to see if they might be associated.
As of press time, this is all we can learn about the incidents. We will keep our Facebook page update as more information becomes available.
