Albert P. DeLuca

Hoosick Falls – Albert P. DeLuca, 88, passed away on Sunday October 6 at the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls. He was the husband of Barbara (Roberson) DeLuca. They were married for sixty-three years.

Albert was born on June 28, 1931, in Hoosick Falls, son of the late Santo and Laura (D`Amico) DeLuca. He graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls. Albert was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He owned and operated Al’s Barber Shop in Hoosick Falls for forty-six years. Albert was a member of the Cambridge American Legion, Derby Club, Elks and the Immaculate Conception Church. He also enjoyed playing golf with his wife.

Survivors, other than his wife Barbara include their children Tony DeLuca (Gail), John DeLuca, Robert DeLuca (Maria Levin), Laura Reynolds, Lora Scott (David), Maryann Ketchum (Andrew), Linda Wills (Edwin) and Toni Modak (Sunil), also twenty-four grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Albert was predeceased by a sister Rose Dakin and three brothers Joseph, Anthony and Jerry DeLuca and his son-in-law Mark Reynolds.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday October 11, at 10:30 am, from the First United Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls.

Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9 am until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to either the E.C. Memorial Fund or the Center for Nursing & Rehab through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls who are handling the arrangements.
